Costa Rica's local currency is the Costa Rican Colón (CRC). However, USD is also accepted throughout most of the island. ATM's are available throughout the island and one is available in the hotel lobby.

Airport

You will arrive at Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport which is approximately 60 minutes from the resort. More transportation information will be provided as the trip draws closer.

Wi-Fi & Calling

The Westin offers free Wi-FI throughout the resort which you can use to call home. You should reach out to your local carrier to add a package to your phone if you intend to use it off of Wi-Fi.

Travel Insurance

We would recommend that you purchase travel insurance before attending the trip. Colonial and APM are not able to buy individual trip cancellation or medical insurance for you. You should consider purchasing cancellation and medical insurance for yourself. Our travel agents GLP are able to provide this to you or you can source it yourself.

All gratuities are included as part of the all-inclusive plan. However, if you feel you have received exceptional service then additional tipping is at your discretion.

Electrical Plugs & Outlets

Electrical outlets in Costa Rica are the same as those found in Canada. No adapters nor converters are required.
